    Description

    Offered is a sumptuous estate found antique French .950 hallmarked sterling silver sauciére on stand, with a pair of fitted .950 sterling liners made by the elite Parisian jewelers & silversmiths of AUCOC, circa 1880.
    The ‘casque’ or helmet form sauce boat on detachable stand in the French Empire style with exquisitely cast handle featuring a rosette detail, and cast egg & dart borders. Heavy gauge silver as one would expect from a top marque Parisian silversmith.
    Each component, the sauceboat, stand, and both liners are each engraved with the same exquisite aristocratic armorial crest.
    The Minerva hallmark denoting .950 fine French silver is marked on the rims, and undersides along with ‘Aucoc’ as depicted in photos.
    Condition: Estate found condition. Surface scratches/ patina/ tarnish commensurate with age and use.there is one small dent on the inner rim of the stand,  See photos as part of the description, and enlarge them to best assess condition.
