VINTAGE JILL WEST ARTISAN SILVER & ENAMEL LEAF SHAPE LARGE DROP STYLE EARRINGS
These are vintage, uniquely designed drop or dangle style artisan earrings of a fine quality that were made by a very creative jewelry designer by the name of Jill West.
They are made in the shape of a leaf and feature blue and purple enamel on silver.
The back side of the earrings are done in an olive-green colored enamel.
The artist has given a purposely rough finish to the silver.
While I have not had these tested and cannot guarantee that the metal is sterling silver, the way it responded to a polishing cloth leads me to believe it is.
I do not find any identifying marking on either earring and I have no other information about this artist.
Regardless, these are high quality made earrings.

These are high quality stunning pieces of hand-made artisan jewelry!
I want to be clear that I am not an expert on jewelry.
I have purchased many pieces of high-quality fine jewelry like these earrings over the years for my personal use and am in the process of selling off some of the pieces that I don’t often wear anymore.
I have not had the earrings tested or examined by a jeweler and I am stating what I honestly believe to be true about these earrings based on information I received from the artist, gallery or shop at the time I bought them.
I always tried to buy from what I believed to be reputable sources and have enjoyed these pieces immensely over the years.
I purchased these earrings new in 1989, directly from the artist, at the ‘Winterfair” in Columbus, Ohio.
As is the case with all of my fine jewelry the earrings have been well cared for since then in my smoke free home.
I have not worn these for many years.
A quick touch with a polishing cloth and they looked like new.
I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability.
Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color.

Age and Condition
Circa 1989.
The earrings are in excellent original condition.
Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item.
There is some minor tarnish to the metal.
Otherwise, I see only some extremely minor signs of use but there is a tiny bit of crazing to the enamel on the front of one earring and both earrings have some minor loss of enamel along the edges on the back-side (This is minor and I suspect this happened during the making of the earrings).
They are beautiful and ready to wear.
Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is.
Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo.
Approximate Dimensions
Each earring measures about 1.75” (4.4 cm) top to bottom (not including the ear wires) and about 1.625” (4.1 cm) left to right at the widest point.
Approximate Weight
About .5 ounce (13 grams) for the pair.

PAYMENT, SHIPPING, Insurance & PACKAGING
For auctions, if you do not send an instant payment through PayPal, I will send you an invoice within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
PayPal is my preferred method for receiving funds and payment is expected within 3 days of the completion of the auction.
I will normally ship within 1-2 business days of receiving payment in my PayPal account.
Shipment will be via the USPS First Class Mail at no additional shipping cost to the buyer.    A delivery confirmation (provides electronic tracking of the shipment) is included with all domestic shipments paid for through PayPal.  Please take the shipping costs into account when bidding.  If you purchase more than one item, I will do my best to combine shipping costs to save you as much as possible.
If you want your package insured, you must let me know in advance of payment.
This item will be professionally packaged for maximum protection in shipping.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
The only form of payment I accept from international buyers is Pay Pal.
No exceptions!
International shipments will encounter longer shipping times due to distance and Customs requirements.
The USPS says 6-10 business days, but it can take longer.
International buyers are responsible for all customs fees, duties, import taxes or other related customs or import charges and all our out-of-pocket costs incurred in the shipment of packages internationally.
International shipment options will be via USPS First Class Mail (when the item being shipped meets the requirements of that service) or Priority Mail when it does not.
DO NOT ask us to show a lesser value on the Customs Forms than the item sold for, or to ship the item purchased item as a gift.

RETURN POLICY
If for some reason you are unhappy with the item you purchased and would like to return it, please contact me within 14 days to discuss the details.
Refunds will be based on the original selling price of the item only and less any fees charged by eBay.

Items must be returned within 30 days of you receiving it and in the same condition as originally shipped.
